America is like leprosy: everybody wants it but they can't have it. Oh. Never mind. America is the authority on all things pop-culture, lingo, whats in and whats out. (note: if your asking yourself : 'out of what?' right now, its good for you to stop reading now.) It is everywhere. However, its really not all original, as the author shows in his explanation of 'American' style music. It is a blend of all different types coming from different places around the world. But still, this makes sense when the musicians must appeal to such a diverse public. While the author really seems to think that this is just dandy, I disagree. I don't think that other countries should be trying to be American, in any aspect. They should be trying to be themselves. Everyone is unique, just like everyone else. But seriously, these countries should not be concerned with what outfit Paris was wearing when she was released from the clink. (Once again, if you are confused because Paris is a city, not a person, stop reading here.) Americans do come up with a lot of new things, new ideas, that other places and peoples adapt to themselves, however, this may not be as great as we are lead to believe. I'm pretty sure this universe is up to its limit of obese people wearing shirts with fireworks and screaming at the mailman. Maybe that's just me.

Well...I would have to agree with you on the title of your blog...especially when it is 11 o'clock at night and I am suppose to be asleep. I see your point that the American culture should not spread to other countries. Overall, job well done.
