Well my experience taking pictures was no good. I am sick at the moment, so I drove with my mother around Carmel while I felt like just taking three pictures of the street and bouncing. I ended up with three pictures of super nice places that don't need to be super nice. KFC in brick and with a huge building, a little cross section of a strip mall, and a mikes car wash that was all pimped out. That was pretty much it. I didn't have a fun time. What I ended up with were three images that basically have the same theme: wealth and prosperity. Who really cares if the KFC you go to is run down or clad in brick with gold-rimmed toilets? Other than flava flav? What's the point of having a carwash, a place that is essentially dirty all the time, decked out in brick and expensive looking landscaping? To maintain the idea that the rich people go there, that its a perfect place here in Carmel. My last image is at a place where there are actually bricks laid into the street. Of course they are arranged attractively, but still, who really feels the need for bricks in the street? Ridiculous. Welcome to Car-mel Indiana, home of the wealthy and snobbish.
