If life were a playground, artists would hang out on the monkey bars and politicians would run the swings. They are completely different, not to say that either group is wrong for this great divide. I think that they are just trained differently. Politicians are not supposed to talk about how they feel. Think about it, how weird would it be if Barack Obama had a news conference merely to talk about being down in the dumps and in need of a hug? Uh, really weird. Politicians are all about the business side of life. Concrete things, the facts, what is black and white. Artists on the other hand are all about the abstract, the feelings, and the gray areas of life. They are in fact trained to deal with and talk about their feelings, express it in writings, pictures, paintings, etc. I do agree with Wright on this. I think that the politicians could be very in tune with their emotions, and artists could be very up to date on the news and think in a very logical manner, however these are not the traits displayed by the individuals to the outside world, therefore casting the two groups at completely opposite ends of the spectrum.
