Well...

During the reading for the weekend, Richard gets in a fight with his Uncle Tom. Basically what happens is this: Uncle Tom decides to wake Richard up ... just to ask him what time it is. Now, to me, this would be enough to fight the man, but whatever. Then Richard tells him, but Tom doesn't think he's right, so Richard checks and he corrects himself but says he was basically right anyways. For some reason this pisses off dear old uncle so he starts to beat Richard. However, Richard fights back against his uncle. The end. I think that Richard hates his uncle for a few reasons, but one of the forefront is the fact that he was pretty much a stranger, as he had only met him a few days earlier. He didn't see it as correct for his Uncle to beat him when they weren't even really acquainted. Also, the man beat him up. I would hate anyone that beat me up, let alone for a reason that was totally not legit at all. But thats just me.
