People have been making a fuss lately. Anything they can complain about, anything they find morally wrong, they will make noise about it. Things like, walking dogs without leashes. Grocery carts with faulty wheels. And, the topic today, genetically enhanced food.

The first thing that comes to mind when reading an argument against genetically enhanced food is, 'get over it.' It's not like we have boycotted Taco Bell for being fattening, nor have we stopped watching Oprah because she owns human beings...we assume. People have the choice. You should really be smart enough to realize that the tuna pressed into a brick shape and colored purple (to entice the kids, of course) rather than the tuna in actual tuna-esque shapes is the one that has more than likely been 'messed with.'

If it was such a big deal, why didn't people demand the candidates views on it?
'Senator Obama...What is your stance on peas made in a basement?'
Exactly. Because it's just not that big of a deal. People who actually care about things like this will most likely already shop at Wild Oats, or Trader Joes, or some other two worded health foods grocery store abounding with tie-dye. People who don't care will continue their healthy relationships with KFC. (Is that an oxymoron?)

And besides, how could someone stop going to places like McDonalds? Ronald McDonald does such great work with his charity, and he looks so goofy doing it. Kind of like we look when we protest things that people have already made personal changes about or ignored for years.
